Snail mail me.

It’s been ages since I last logged on to this. And yes, I have been busy. And also yes, I have been mostly jotting everything all up in my field notes and not typing it all down here. As if anybody cares, anyhoo.

As of today, I have done lame attempts as to where I can look up someone to whom I can be penpals with. Why? Mostly for a number of reasons:

1. Learn what you can and practice what you already know.

To learn is endless. There’s just so many things that the world has to offer and my world doesn’t just end in the four corners of my room or the household I am in nor the place I work. It is limitless. There are so many facts, so many interesting things all over the world that I still need to explore. Like, peoples lifestyle, culture and whatnots. I just gotta have to find that out first hand through the locals who actually live there.

2. Meet new people.

Trying to put yourself out there and actually meeting someone new whether be it in person, through phone or the internet, makes you a little more confident than you were before. “A world without strangers”. That’s gonna be hard to do…might as well start now.

And lastly, it is mainly because…

3. I want to receive a letter, a book, or whatever via “snail” mail that has got nothing to do with bills inside a white envelope.

I just want things to kick it all back old school. To go back when vinyl records are their ultimate ipods, when books are their to go to than Google, when people actually meet-up to talk rather than using skype, YM or facebook ,and to go back to that time where texts, phone calls and emails always arrive at your doorstep as a form of letter, a package or even a singing telegram. I just want to be all giddy and wait for a package or a letter to arrive. To have that feeling of excitement…something good to look forward to.

Today, everything’s all fast paced. People doesn’t even know how to wait anymore. It’s like if they try to wait for about 30 minutes, their impatience is gonna eat them out alive! Results, results, results…as soon as possible. Everybody wants everything to be all instantly accessible for them.

I just don’t like the thought of it that much and I badly want something from my mail SOON! :(
